NECTERINIIDAE. NECTARINA K. KILIMNESIS. BRONZE SUNBIRD

He estado un par de veces en el Parque Nacional de Aberdares y las dos veces he visto a este hermoso ave de la familia de las Nectarinias. Es un colibrí  bronceado que vivie por encima de las 1.200 metros y casi hasta los 2.000 metros de alturas. Los Aberdares son montañas hermosas de la tierras altas de Kenia.

Ente encuentro tuvo lugar en los jardines del Aberdares Country Club en una mañana lluviosa de la primera semana de Septiembre. Revoloteaba impaciente sobre las flores y siguiendolo encontre el lugar ideal para captar la imagen. La verdad como siempre digo es el don de la  oportunidad. Es un ejemplar juvenil al que todavía no se le han marcado bien los colores de los hombros y el peño pero ya empiezan a anarajarse. Tengo fotos en las que se ve todo la espalda verde glossy. Una maravilla de encuentro.

I've been a couple of times in the Aberdares National Park and both times I have seen this beautiful bird of the family of Nectarinia. Tanning is a hummingbird that lived above the 1,200 meters to almost 2,000 meters high. The Aberdares are beautiful mountains of the highlands of Kenya.


The meeting took place in the gardens of the Aberdares Country Club on a rainy morning in the first week of September. Impatiently hovering over the flowers and continued to find the perfect place to capture the picture. The truth as I always say is the gift of opportunity.
